Thank goodness, it's begun to cool down a bit over here. Now I can bust out my not-quite-winter, not-quite-summer duds and figure out how to wear a maxi skirt, really. And hey, any day that can be faced without blasting air conditioning and pouring ice water on myself (don't knock it 'til you've tried it) is a good one. Although, I can't complain about the ever-present reasons to eat as much ice cream as possible... doesn't get much better than that.

This is it: the inaugural outfit post. I'm beyond excited to join the blogging legion - for real this time - that continuously inspires me. The first few photos have been snapped, and I'm out of the gate. Time to get started experimenting.
Sidenote: while the blogging community seems to discourage taking photos while the sun is at its brightest, doing so does have its bright sides (pun intended): my cheekbones have magically appeared in photo 1. Here's to the sun!

Welcome to style experimental. 


Setting out to fulfill a longtime dream and a New Year's resolution (fingers crossed this one sticks!), this blog is born. This warrants some sort of cliché first post, of course; I can't disappoint. So, enjoy a quick five facts about yours truly:
1. Books, reading, literature, the written word - it delights me. Best use of free time? Um, yes.
2. Pickles, ice cream and tea are constants in my kitchen. Eaten separately, of course.
3. I am exceedingly inept at creating lists of random facts about myself.
4. I have yet to pick a favorite color. Decision-making was never my strong suit.
5. To me, style differs greatly from fashion. Fashion is fleeting. Style is you.
